Blood Dungeon Baby
Magnum default, extra gold per run, and the unlock most players should chase after the bunkhouse.
Baby is the first bunkmate most players should chase after Gun Man and Barbarian feel readable. Launch reviews give the kit a magnum and extra gold. PC Gamer called the revolver a one-shot tool against early-wave trash. Extra gold speeds Bone income once you can actually play as Baby — after you already know cling in Catacombs. Baby is not Leech. Leech is a Steam achievement: defeat Wyrm in under 30 seconds.
The game launched 25 August 2026 as single-player only. Nine bunkmates ship. Baby is one of the seven kits named in full by store copy and reviews. Powder Keg and Revivalist are the hotfix pair. Full roster: Bunkmates. Hedged ranks: Character Tier List. Confirmed doors: Unlock Characters.
Magnum, gold, and a trophy that is not the door
The magnum is a long-range default that does not need a thesis. Upgrade habits on Weapons put damage and reload first. Steam’s Stagger trophy asks for at least 700 damage in one Magnum shot. That is an achievement bar, not the damage you should expect every trigger. Lucky Chests is “reach level 15 as Baby” — a run-length goal on this kit, not a proof that Baby costs a published Bone amount.
Steam also lists Baby as an achievement: buy 10 items at the Bone Shop. That is a shop trophy on Achievements, not a published statement that ten purchases is how you unlock the bunkmate. This wiki does not invent a price. After Gun Man and Barbarian, open the bunkhouse and the quest log. Extra gold is the reason to want Baby. The exact door is the in-game card, not a fan table.
Once unlocked, the magnum can enter the shared drop pool for everyone else — the same rule as Hypnomancer gas after the second Boiler boss. That is why chasing Baby still matters if you later main Skinja or Leggy.
How to play the kit
Public copy does not give Baby a unique movement extra. You use the shared walls, ceilings, ladders, grates, and chains on Movement. The magnum wants sightlines. Open Catacombs rooms and later Corridor climbs work if you do not stand in a doorway. Flood still wants webs or flight more than a pistol; bring Leggy or Bug when water is the lesson.
First-run habits:
- Learn cling on Gun Man or Barbarian. Getting Started.
- When Baby appears in the bunkhouse, take a familiar arena, not a Daily seed you cannot steer — Daily Dungeon.
- Bank Bones at the Dogmancer. Open a second weapon slot. Pair the magnum with an orbit or area card so close packs do not eat you while you reload.
- Spend Gold on rerolls when you are one named card away from coverage — Synergies. Charms such as Magnet, hearts, and Bounce balls inflate late rooms.
- Do not skip Streamer Mode if you record; Baby is not the nude pair.
Temple of Geek singled Baby out as a favourite because extra money and the magnum felt honest. That matches this page: the kit is A-tier on published tools, not because a thousand-hour sample exists. Steam user reviews sat Very Positive after launch (about 90 percent of 261 when this wiki last checked). That number will move. It is not a Baby buff.
What this page will not say
It will not invent a Bone cost. It will not treat the ten-item Bone Shop trophy as the unlock recipe. It will not invent a Baby-only oxygen tank. Oxygen Tank is a Flood charm on the charms page, not a baby bottle. Messhof’s news titles are hotfix and hotfix 2. Crashes: Troubleshooting. Compare kits: Character Compare.
Baby is the gold-and-range step after the bunkhouse teachers. Take the magnum, bank the extra coins, then specialise when the arena asks for webs, flight, or gas.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How do I unlock Baby?
Public materials name the magnum and extra gold. They do not publish a Bone price. The Bone Shop ten-items trophy is an achievement, not a confirmed unlock recipe. Check the bunkhouse and quest log.
Is the Baby achievement the character unlock?
No. On Steam, Baby is “buy 10 items at the Bone Shop.” That is a shop trophy. The bunkmate is a separate roster slot.
What is Baby’s default weapon?
A magnum. Reviews treat it as a hard-hitting long-range default. Stagger is a 700-damage Magnum trophy, not typical shot damage.
Is Leech another name for Baby?
No. Leech is a Steam achievement for defeating Wyrm in under 30 seconds. It is not a bunkmate.
