Blood Dungeon How to Unlock All Characters

Blood Dungeon’s bunkhouse holds nine bunkmates. Seven names are public. This page only writes unlock methods that Steam, official marketing, or launch reviews actually support. It does not invent Bone Shop prices, quest names, or the two unpublished bunkmates.

The game launched 25 August 2026. Single-player only. There is no extra multiplayer unlock track.

Starting bunkmates

Gun Man — Widely reported as the character you begin with. PC Gamer and IGN treat the machine gun bunkmate as the learning kit: automatic fire while you learn walls, ceilings, and Catacombs. Public copy does not give Gun Man a unique movement extra beyond the shared platforming kit.

Barbarian — Also in the bunkhouse. Nude dual circling swords and Streamer Mode (censor bar over an otherwise naked runner). He is not a late secret and not a replacement for Gun Man; both are present so you can learn ranged auto-fire and melee orbits without a shop trip.

Learn those two first. Do not hunt a bunkmate named Leech. Leech is a Steam achievement: defeat Wyrm in under 30 seconds. See Achievements.

Confirmed unlock: Hypnomancer

Hypnomancer unlocks by beating the second boss in the Boiler. That fight is also an achievement. Default weapon is gas (area denial). Once unlocked, gas can enter the shared drop pool for other bunkmates — that is the practical reason to chase this even if you never main Hypnomancer.

This wiki does not invent additional boss-under-conditions unlocks. If your quest log shows another named fight tied to a bunkmate, trust the log over fan tables.

Baby and the Bone Shop ten-items achievement

Baby uses a magnum and collects extra gold. Steam lists a Bone Shop achievement for buying ten items. That is an achievement track, not a published statement that Baby costs a specific Bone amount or that ten purchases is the unlock method. Do not copy invented price lists. After Gun Man and Barbarian feel comfortable, Baby is still the unlock most players should want — magnum range plus gold for Bones — but the exact door is “check the bunkhouse / quest log / shop,” not a number this page made up.

Named in marketing, unlock path not fully public

These three are real bunkmates. Official trailers and store art name them. This page does not invent how they unlock.

• Skinja — Shotgun, cartwheels, speed.
• Leggy — Climbable webs; the published answer for Flood water.
• Bug — Flight. Default gun not named publicly.

When the quest log or a patch notes dump states a method, update this page. Until then, treat “Bone Shop unlocks Skinja for X” as unverified.

Two unpublished names

Nine bunkmates total. Seven names above. Two remaining names are not listed in public materials. Do not fill those slots with fan nicknames or fake quests.

Shared weapon pool

Unlocking a bunkmate can add their default to drops for everyone else. Hypnomancer → gas for Gun Man is the clean example. Baby’s magnum following the same rule is consistent with how the pool is described, but this page will not claim a hidden price gate.

What to do in order

1. Play Gun Man and Barbarian in Catacombs until movement is readable.
2. Bank Bones at the Dogmancer for slots and hearts — not for a fictional Leech.
3. Unlock Baby when the bunkhouse / log actually offers it; treat extra gold as the reason, not a made-up cost.
4. Push the arena spine to Boiler and take the second boss for Hypnomancer.
5. Pick Skinja, Leggy, or Bug when they appear, matching shotgun speed, Flood webs, or flight to the map.

If an older guide ranked Leech as a first purchase, ignore it.
